Robbery Bob theory:Bob is an Anti-Hero
Alright, i'm a fan of Robbery Bob, and i have played the 2 games, and i have a theory,
so to set things up, Robbery Bob is very childish in nature, but he is also hinted at to be a genius, HE LITERALLY TOOK OF SOMEONE'S PANTS WHILE THEY WERE STANDING IN THE SECOND GAME, also, he apparently has "a closet full of diplomas" and as theorized by Don Cannelloni from the second game, "...A Thief School or something?" and Bob says "Not exactly" this means Bob DID have something similar, maybe he was trained to be a specialized thief ever since he was born, not only that, both games have proven that he knows how to operate a vast range of technology, and also knows the inner workings of several technologies, he even diffuses an improvised chemical bomb (it's technically a stink bomb, but Bob's dialogue details how catastrophic it would be if it blew up) in the second game, now onto the actual theory
i believe the time Bob served in Prison made him reconsider his life, eventually leading to him becoming good, in the events of the first and second games, every time he works for someone genuinely evil, they end up in jail or F*cked up, for example, The Dealer got arrested, The Prisoner Dude also got arrested, The Evil Scientist literally got nuked, while in the second game, Don Cannelloni got arrested, Conrad Telemark got humiliated, but you get the point, however, while the evil dudes ended up arrested, the good people Bob works for, like Nickie Heist, Manny, ETC end up spared, in the end, they and Bob part on good terms, now, many of my friends said that maybe this was a coincidence, after all, the Dealer did betray Bob, but how about the others? the Prisoner Guy was just rude to Bob, yet he ended up arrested as a result of Bob not informing him about the fact that the police were coming, despite the fact that it was hinted that Bob knew the police were coming, as for the scientist, despite the fact that Bob was already taught very well not to tamper with buttons, he still chose to touch a nuke button, so many may say that Bob is not INTENTIONALLY F*cking up the people he works for, however, i got more proof, in the second game, Bob literally turns in Don Cannelloni to the police, literally stating in his dialogue that he is planning some surprise for him, in Pilfer Peaks, Bob was about to just stand up and leave after being constantly annoyed by Conrad Telemark's bullsh*t, only to stay for the entire chapter after finding out Conrad Telemark sabotages his opponents, and even willingly risks getting buried in an avalanche, getting attacked by a goat, or being run over by skiers just to reverse Conrad Telemark's sabotages, and even entering a resort full of security and reckless skiers just to diffuse an improvised stink bomb, AND challenging Conrad to a race with a specific consequence for the loser if they were to lose, (which is having to retire from skiing fro the rest of their life) it seems that Robbery Bob is secretly good, F*cking up the evil guys he works for while the good ones are spared, while Robbery Bob is often portrayed as evil, in reality, he might be secretly good, being the guy the local police force needs, one last thing, in the Robbery Bob music videos made by the game's devs, specifically, "Trash Is Treasure", Bob states that "All the Criminals know i'm on top" this suggests that the truly connected criminals of wherever Robbery Bob takes place in, (it could be Norway, you can find the flag in Pilfer Peaks, but once again, Bob could have just gone there for vacation, but i'd like to bet he's from America or Europe) know that Bob is the true king, this supports my earlier theory that Robbery Bob was trained to be a perfect criminal, very well educated and skilled in many fields, one who chose to become good, and as we see in the games, fights for good, and secretly fights evil, so guys, what do y'all think?
